Defects
For health and hygiene reasons, I do not accept returns or replacements unless the item has a defect. If there is a tare or major defect that I missed to notice, you may take pictures of it and send for review to surveyofthecosmos@gmail.com. If the damage seems to be caused by the shipping carrier, please take as many pictures as you can, do not throw away the packaging and do not send the item back to me. You must file a claim directly with the shipping carrier. Keep in mind that small marks and indentations that often look like scratches and cuts are just reflections of imperfections inside the mold or natural traces of a sculpting hand.
Imperfections
There may be slight marks or other imperfections in my products, this can be related to the release agents which are added to the molds and may create slight differences in textures or slight imperfections between products. While every effort is made to ensure that each item is produced as closely as possible to the product photo and/or specifications, no item is ever guaranteed to be an exact copy and the customer agrees to accept any minor difference in appearance on their item purchased from Survey of the Cosmos. All items are handmade, and it is impossible to avoid slight variances between products. If a customer claims that a product is defective due to a slight imperfection or other variation, the customer agrees that I shall solely determine if the product is defective and shall solely determine what, if any, further action will follow, such as issuing a replacement or refund.
Variations
Please be aware that all photos of any products sold at Survey of the Cosmos are for illustrative purposes only. Although I use reasonable best efforts to ensure that my products are accurately depicted in my website, it is possible that some photos shown may not be entirely representative of the actual product. The final products received by you may vary slightly in color, size, look, feel, finish, or style. Additionally, you should be aware that all sizing is approximate and may not be exact.
The colorations shown on the website may not always match exactly in the product you receive. Since the products are handmade their colorations are one of a kind. This is particularly evident with marble colorations of two or of more colors. Bicolor colorations are not to be misinterpreted as fades, or as a promise to provide a perfect fade. Silicone is an unpredictable material, while sometimes the transition between colors may appear smooth, other times it may appear jagged and chaotic or simply just be seen as a flat line in between colors. Toys poured with softer silicone tend to feature smoother color transitions than toys poured with firmer silicone, but that is not guaranteed.
Risk of loss / Damage by shipping carrier
I am not responsible for loss of items or damage to items after they been shipped. All items purchased through Survey of the Cosmos are shipped pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon my tender of the item to the third-party shipping carrier. You must file a claim directly with the shipping carrier if your item is lost. If you need a copy of your proof of purchase and photographs of the item to file your claim, please contact me, Jon, at surveyofthecosmos@gmail.com
Size
I do not accept returns on orders where the customer has misjudged the size of the toy. Please ensure correct item and specifications are chosen at checkout. If you have any questions, please contact me at surveyofthecosmos@gmail.com prior to placing your order.
Exceptions
I cannot accept returns on clearance items because their imperfections are what makes them available and you agree to buy them "as is."
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. Your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. If there is no justification for your return you are fully responsible for the fees of shipping the item back to me. Additionally, if you requested an exchange, you are responsible for the cost of shipping the new item to you and you may be subject to a 25% restocking fee. I will notify you once i've received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
Automatic refunds due to failure to complete your order
Due to the many unpredictible setbacks that can arise during production I will allow myself a period of ten weeks to complete your order. If for some reason I cannot complete your order you will receive a full refund.
Chargebacks
You agree not to charge your credit card back within the ten week period that I have to complete your order, claiming that you have not received your item or for any other reason. If you charge your credit card back after you receive your item, without a reason whatsoever, you will be commiting fraud. I will pursue my claims against you to the fullest extent allowed by law. I will forward your information to the applicable law enforcement agency and your fraudulent chargeback may result in civil and/or criminal penalties and fees.
Start a return
To be eligible for a return or exchange due to defects, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, and if possible in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.To start a return, you can contact me, the store owner, Jonatan Lopez at surveyofthecosmos@gmail.com. If your return or exchange is accepted, I will send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to me without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Cancelations
You may cancel an order within 48 hours after making yuur purchase to receive a full refund. After that you may still cancel your order but you will only receive store credit. You cannot cancel your order once it has been produced.
Order switch
If your order has not been produced yet, you can switch it for a different item of the same size group or a few smaller items that closely match its price. You will be given store credit for any balance owed.
